About Mikel Manitius
I’m an independent photographer and technology consultant based in Atlanta.
My photography includes commercial, interiors, architecture, people, family and landscapes.
I started with digital photography 14 years ago. In 1995 when my first daughter was born I built a website, uploaded pictures from the hospital (remember dialup?) and updated it daily (people were just starting to hear of the Internet). I was one of the first to have a digital camera and a server with a full-time internet connection at home. I’ve always been an early adopter and like to experiment with technology and ask questions.
Today I continue to apply my deep technical knowledge and creative skills in photography and technology together.
My technology experience includes 25 years in the IT industry working for companies using technology as well as computer manufacturers. I’ve written software, developed new products and business models, designed architectures and worked with enterprise customers to solve technology problems. I’m proficient in networking, security, wireless communications, UNIX, Windows, and of course I prefer Macs. (more on my LinkedIn profile)

I live in Atlanta with my family, and when I’m not shooting or thinking about technology, I’m probably backpacking in some remote mountain range, probably still shooting and thinking about technology. :)
